OPERATING PRINCIPLE
How H71 Check Valve Works
-
1. Compact Wafer Design
Compact wafer-style design with a short face-to-face dimension, saving installation space and facilitating easy installation between flanges.
-
2. Spring-Loaded Closing
Spring-loaded closing mechanism; suitable for both horizontal and vertical installation, providing rapid response and effectively preventing backflow of the medium.
-
3. CF8M / CF8 Construction
Constructed from CF8M (316 stainless steel) or CF8 (304 stainless steel); the 316 grade offers excellent corrosion resistance, making it suitable for water, oil, gas, and mildly acidic or alkaline media.
-
4. Hard-Sealing Design
Hard-sealing design ensures stable sealing performance; rated for pressures of PN16, PN25, and PN40.
-
5. Low Resistance, Long Life
Features low flow resistance, reliable operation, and a long service life.

PURCHASING SUPPORT
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about materials, certification, packing and delivery.
What is a Wafer Check Valve?
It is a spring-loaded wafer type lift check valve, also called silent check valve. It is installed between two flanges, used to prevent reverse flow of medium in pipeline. It opens with forward fluid pressure and closes quickly by spring force once flow reverses.
What does H71W-PN40 DN80 CF8M mean?
- H71W: Model code, hard-seal wafer lift check valve
- PN40: Nominal pressure 40 Bar
- DN80: Nominal size DN80 (3 inch)
- CF8M: Cast stainless steel 316 material
What materials do you supply?
Standard options: CF8 (304 stainless steel), CF8M (316 stainless steel). Spring is SS316. Custom material like duplex stainless steel is available on request.
What materials can you supply?
- Stainless steel 304 / 316L (corrosion resistant, water, gas, chemical, instrument piping)
What applications?
Water supply, compressed air, natural gas, fire protection, HVAC, instrument piping, oil, low & medium pressure industrial pipeline, plumbing systems.
Can you provide MTC material certificate?
Yes, EN10204 3.1 MTC with heat number is available. EN10204 3.2 third-party certificate can be arranged at buyer’s extra cost.
Surface finish options?
Standard: pickled matte finish.
Can you do laser marking?
Yes. We can mark size, grade, heat number, customer logo or brand on the flats.
Packaging for sea shipment?
Male threads are protected by plastic thread caps. Packed into export cartons, then loaded on fumigated wooden pallets with waterproof stretch film to avoid scratch and thread damage.
What is the lead time?
Typically, shipments are dispatched within 7–15 days of receiving the deposit, depending on the order quantity.
How is quality controlled?
Raw material inspection → CNC machining → Thread inspection → Hydrostatic testing → Visual inspection → Final dimensional verification before packaging.
Which Incoterms are available for overseas buyers?
We offer FOB (Free On Board) terms, with the shipment originating from a Chinese port. We will provide a commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading for import customs clearance.
Which Incoterms are available for buyers?
We offer FOB (Free On Board) or CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms, with shipments originating from a Chinese port. We will provide a commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading for customs clearance.
What should be done if the threads are found to be defective or do not meet requirements upon arrival?
Please provide photos, videos, and inspection records. We will assess the root cause; depending on the contractual terms, solutions may include product replacement, a partial refund, or a reshipment.
